All About Acting

Acting seems to be what people always take away from a film after seeing it. Not necessarily the editing or cinematography, although those are very important, but the connections they make with the characters and the actors/actresses that play them is what forms a memorable movie for the audience. This is based mostly on my own experiences because that's the most memorable part for me: the characters. And if an actor gives a great performance, it makes it that much more memorable.

If I'm really being honest though, it's probably gonna end up being Noah and I. We are planning on just filming each other for the solo scenes and having one of our friends be the cameraman if we need to shoot a scene with both of us in it at the same time. This is definitely the easiest and most efficient way to handle acting, but I also think it will be the most effective. I've heard of a lot of instances in film where the director struggles to convey to the actor how they want them to act in line with their vision, and this huge hurdle would be eliminated if we act ourselves because our visions could just translate to our own acting. This has some cons as well (like the fact that we are terrible at acting) but we aren't planning to have much dialogue, so it would make acting much easier.

If necessary for a scene, we can always get some of our classmates who are studying film along with us to be extras to make the urban setting more realistic. Obviously this plan could change if the scenes we come up with involve an unexpected element, but for now this is our general plan for the acting.
